Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using payora (“the Service”), operated by 256 Grays HQ (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
payora is a cloud-based HR and payroll management platform for Indian businesses. The Service includes attendance tracking, leave management, payroll processing, document storage, AI-powered insights, and a mobile application.
3. Account registration
You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Each organization must have exactly one Owner account.
4. Subscription and billing
payora offers Free, Pro, and Business plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Razorpay. Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions are grandfathered at their original price until their next renewal.
5. Free trial
Paid plans include a 14-day free trial. No payment information is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, your account is downgraded to the Free plan unless you subscribe. No data is deleted during downgrade.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access until that date. Refunds are available within 7 days of the first payment only. No refunds are issued after 7 days. See our Refund Policy for details.
7. Data ownership
You retain all rights to the data you upload to payora. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising purposes. You may export your data at any time in standard formats. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed after a 30-day grace period.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (d) upload malicious content; (e) share account credentials with unauthorized persons; (f) exceed the employee or admin seat limits of your plan.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including row-level security, encrypted data storage, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
10. Service availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
13. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
